Unforced Rhythms of Grace Part II

I wrote a blog days ago talking about one of my favorite things…God’s Amazing Grace.  I used this passage from the Message:

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Matthew 11:28-29 The Message.

This morning I found this verse and it reminded me of the unforced rhythms of Grace!

“God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us”. Ephesians 3:20-21 The Message

I love the word gently in this passage.  It reminds me of the sweet way Jesus leads me each day.  He doesn’t drag me into obedience, he leads me gently and lovingly closer to HIM! It reminds me 0f a hymn I used to sing in church:

He leadeth me,

He leadeth me,

By His own hand He leadeth me;

His faithful follower I would be,

For by His hand He leadeth me.

I just have to hold His hand and follow.  That is my small part of this beautiful equation called The Walk!
