Tasting the Rain

rain1

A gift came today

Wrapped in raindrops

And cooler breezes.

I think the raindrops

Were tapping out a message.

Hard to hear at first.

The wind whispered,

And rain joined the chorus.

Goodbye hot summer.

Welcome autumn.

Showers of blessings

Poured all over my heart,

As I tipped my head back

And tasted the rain.

Autumn rain tastes the best!
